The versatile and talented actor Chiyaan Vikram is on a roll with his upcoming projects. After wrapping up his ambitious film ‘Thangalaan’ with director Pa Ranjith, the actor is now gearing up for his next venture, which is said to be a collaboration with the young and dynamic director Lokesh Kanagaraj.
According to sources, Chiyaan Vikram will star in a film scripted by Lokesh Kanagaraj and directed by his assistant Mahesh Balasubramaniam. The film will be produced by Lalit Kumar under his banner Seven Screen Studio, which also backing Lokesh’s ‘Leo’. The film is tentatively titled ‘Chiyaan 62’, but an official announcement is yet to be made.
This is not the only project that Chiyaan Vikram has with Lokesh Kanagaraj. The actor is also part of the Lokesh Cinematic Universe (LCU), which is a series of interconnected films featuring some of the biggest stars of Tamil cinema. Chiyaan Vikram will reportedly play a powerful role alongside Kamal Haasan in the next installment of ‘Vikram’, which will also have Suriya reprising the role of Rolex, the antagonist from ‘Vikram’.
Produced by 7 Screen Studio , Leo is gearing up for a worldwide release on October 19th 2023. The production of the film presumably cost around Rs 250 crore, and it has already made an astounding Rs 246 crore at the box office. The movie already made Rs 150 crore from its digital rights, Rs 80 crore from its satellite rights, and Rs 16 crore from its music rights. Sun Tv bought the satellite rights and Netflix has bought the digital streaming rights.
