After delivering back-to-back box office hits, Lokesh Kanagaraj has become one of the most sought-after directors in the South Indian film industry. He has already worked with some of the biggest stars like Kamal Haasan, Vijay, and Rajinikanth, and now he is all set to collaborate with another pan-Indian superstar, Prabhas.

According to the latest reports, The director has shared a one-liner idea with the ‘Adipurush’ star, who has expressed his enthusiasm for the film. It will be the most ambitious film of their careers, and the director will start working on the script after finishing his ongoing film ‘Leo’ with Vijay. The music is said to be composed by Anirudh Ravichandar.

The film with Prabhas is said to be produced by a popular Telugu production house, and it will be a pan-Indian drama for sure. The genre and the cast of the film are yet to be revealed, but fans are already excited to see the combination of Lokesh Kanagaraj’s unique style and Prabhas’s charisma on the big screen.

Lokesh Kanagaraj is currently busy with the post-production work of ‘Leo’, which is slated to release on October 18 for the occasion of Dussehra. The film is a gangster drama that features an ensemble cast of Sanjay Dutt, Trisha Krishnan, Gautham Menon, Arjun Sarja, Mansoor Ali Khan, Priya Anand, Mathew Thomas, Mysskin, and Sandy, among others. The film’s music is composed by Anirudh Ravichander, who has also scored for Lokesh Kanagaraj’s previous films ‘Vikram’ and ‘Master’.

After ‘Leo’, Lokesh Kanagaraj is expected to direct Rajinikanth’s 171st film, which has been tentatively titled ‘Thalaivar 171’. The director has hinted about the film in one of his recent interactions, but he has asked fans to wait until the official launch. The director has also revealed earlier that he plans to quit films after making 10 films in his career.

Prabhas, on the other hand, has a slew of projects lined up for release. His big-budget mythological film ‘Adipurush’, which released recently, failed to impress the audiences and critics alike. The film faced several controversies for its poor VFX, dialogues, and screenplay.

Prabhas is currently shooting for another highly anticipated pan-Indian film ‘Project K’, directed by Nag Ashwin. The film stars Deepika Padukone, Amitabh Bachchan, and Disha Patani in lead roles as well. After this, he has ‘Spirit’ with Sandeep Reddy Vanga and a Telugu comedy film with director Maruthi.
