Actor Karthi's upcoming movie 'Viruman' has got a new release date and taking the fans to a surprise, the movie team has preponed the release and the update concerning the same was released on social media, which has now become a viral story. 

According to reports, Viruman was originally planned for August 31st. However, the makers have now announced that Viruman will be getting released on August 12 and ten days ahead of the movie release, the movie team have planned to organize a great audio launch on August 3rd at Raja Muthiah Mandram. The movie is directed by Muthaiya and produced by Karthi's brother, actor Suriya under his own banner '2D Entertainment.'

Viruman has been touted as a movie that emphasizes the value of relationships and family, which was shot all around southern Tamil Nadu. Through this movie, Aditi Shankar, the daughter of director Shankar will be making her acting debut by playing the female lead. The movie also stars Prakash Raj, Rajkiran, Saranya Ponvannan, Soori, Karunas, and RK Suresh in important roles.

Yuvan Shankar Raja has composed the music for the movie and Karthi will be sporting a rural guy. It is the second collaboration for Karthi with Muthaiya after 'Komban'. The latest news is that the censor board has given a U/A certificate for the movie. The shooting was wrapped up last December and earlier, the movie was scheduled for a release on August 31 on the occasion of Ganesh Chaturthi. However, it has now been announced that Viruman will hit the big screens on August 12.
