Viral story: Dhanush is ready to rock in his new avatar...'Vaathi' release date is out!

The makers of Dhanush's upcoming bilingual film 'Vaathi' has on Monday - September 19 unveiled the mother of all updates- the movie's release date. As per the announcement, Vaathi will hit the big screens on December 2. A new poster was also released to share the release date announcement. The poster depicts Dhanush in his new avatar as a Teacher. 

After the release of The Gray Man, his Hollywood debut, Dhanush is currently having a golden era. Thiruchitrambalam opened the box office door this year in Kollywood and quickly ascended to the top of the revenue ladder. He now has a number of upcoming releases, including Selvaraghavan's Naane Varuvean, Captain Miller by Arun Maatheeswaran, and now, the fans relish an exciting new update regarding his upcoming Telugu debut, Vaathi, helmed by Venky Atluri.

Vaathi is bankrolled by Sithara Entertainments and on Monday, the production house took to Twitter and wrote, "Mark the Date. Our Vaathi/ Sir is getting ready to take classes from 2nd Dec 2022." Dhanush, who plays the teacher in the film, exudes an ever-young charm in the released poster. Students were standing in front of him while he was seated at the classroom desk, where books and chalks were on one side and a few written papers were flying around. 

Half-hints in the teaser suggest that the story revolves around equal education and shady educational practices. In Tamil and Telugu, Dhanush portrays Balamurugan and Bala Gangadhar Tilak, respectively. According to reports, he is a junior lecturer teaching third grade at Tirupati Educational Institute.

While Dhanush plays the lead role, Samyuktha Menon, Sai Kumar, Shrutika, Samuthirakani, Aadukalam Naren, Ilavarasu, and Rajendran play important roles. GV Prakash Kumar composed the music while Yuvraj is in charge of cinematography. While Suryadeva Naga Vamsi of Sithara Entertainments produces the movie along with Sai Soujanya of Fortune Four Cinemas, Vaathi will be presented by Srikara Studios.
