Popular Kollywood director-cinematographer Vijay Milton is going to join hands with Karthi as he will be sharing the screen space with the actor in his upcoming flick 'Japan', directed by Raju Murugan. Vijay Milton is known for his movies Kaadhal, Vazhakku Enn 18/9, Goli Soda, and Kadugu, and he has been roped in to play an important character in Japan.
The film crew of Japan previously unveiled the first look poster, and it was a quick garner for Karthi's look. Raju Murugan previously helmed romantic dramas Cuckoo, Mehandi Circus, Gypsy, and the political satire, Joker, which garnered a National award. The filmmaker is now helming the next 'Japan' with Karthi in the main lead. Now the exciting update has attracted director Vijay Milton to play a police officer.
Vijay Milton will be taking part in the shooting for more than 30 days. It is the first time that Karthi is collaborating with Raju Murugan and while Karthi plays the lead role, Anu Emmanuel plays the female lead. Bankrolled by Dream Warrior Pictures, Japan has roped in GV Prakash to compose the music.
The technical crew of this film also includes Ravi Varman for cinematography, Anbariv for stunts, and Philomin Raj for edits. Vinesh Banglan is the production designer. The film crew held a pooja ceremony last week before commencing to shoot on floors. Karthi is currently enjoying his films' consecutive box-office successes. The actor recently celebrated the 25th day that his most recent movie, Sardar. On October 21, Sardar was released in theatres to generally favorable reviews. And it quickly rose to the top of Karthi's list of highest-grossing solo films.
Along with the cast and crew of the movie, the actor also celebrated Ponniyin Selvan 1's success earlier. The worldwide ticket sales for the Mani Ratnam movie brought in more than Rs 500 crore. Ponniyin Selvan's second film is currently in post-production and is anticipated to hit theatres in April 2023. Additionally, he will also be working on Sardar 2 and Kaithi 2.
