For the first time in decades, the concept of making a silent film has come to the limelight after such a mammoth attempt has been strived by a Marathi filmmaker with a club of prominent stars and technicians. In what the maker called as reliving the silent film era, the movie titled 'Gandhi Talks' is coming to shed more light on the estranged concept.

Significantly, actor Vijay Sethupathi plays an important role in Gandhi Talks as he has begun a brand-new endeavour. As his commitment to cinema is vividly known, Vijay Sethupathi has plunged into a total fresh venture which is outside his regular zone. Gandhi Talks is being made as a silent and dark comedy movie and the intriguing glimpse was released on Sunday- October 2, on the occasion of Gandhi Jayanti.

Another interesting factor is that Vijay Sethupathi will be sharing the screen space with Aravind Swami and Aditi Rao Hydari after Chekka Chivandha Vaanam while Oscar-winning music composer A R Rahman has composed music for Gandhi Talks. As the title suggests, the one-and-a-half-minute glimpse strongly conceptualized economy and money.

In the teaser, Mahatma Gandhi's "Ragupathi Raghava Raja Ram," a soothing background theme by A.R. Rahman, was featured alongside Vijay Sethupathi, Aravindh Swamy, and Aditi Rao Hydari. Zee Studios, which is bankrolling the movie, took to Twitter and released the glimpse. The production house wrote, "Relive the silent film era! Zee Studios proudly presents Gandhi Talks, a dark comedy starring Vijay Sethupathi, Aravind Swami, Aditi Rao Hydari, Siddharth Yadav in an A R Rahman musical."

Gandhi Talks is directed by Marathi filmmaker Kishor Pandurang Belekar. Gandhi Talks is a silent film with only non-verbal communication and it is all set to release worldwide in 2023 in six languages - Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada, Marathi, and Hindi. Karan Rawat and Ashish Mhatre have done cinematography and editing respectively. The glimpse of Gandhi Talks has garnered a huge reception and by the time of writing this content, it was close to reaching 9 lakh views on YouTube.
