VJ Chitra's death: Police shockingly reveal what happened to her!

In a shocking twist amid the grounds of different claims surfaced around the death of popular Tamil TV actor VJ Chitra, the probing police team has now revealed what has happened to her as new details that emerged a day after the last rites had shocked her fans and fraternities. 

As the autopsy report had on Thursday confirmed that the actor has committed suicide and ruled out the grounds of murder, the police investigation has now revealed what had happened to her, and the initial probe had shockingly said what was alleged by Chitra's family and friends that she might have been tortured and faced physical violence from her fiance Hemnath, with whom she was staying when she had committed suicide. 

VJ Chitra has got engaged with Hemnath in August and they have even done a registered marriage in October and living in the hotel room in Nazrathpet, Chennai from where Chitra had been taking part in shootings. However, she was found dead in the wee hours of Wednesday in the hotel room, which had shocked her fans and fraternities. The local police had rushed to the hotel and recovered the body and sent it to autopsy to the Kilpauk Medical College in the city. 

As Hemnath was in the same room where Chitra was found dead, the police had taken him along with the hotel staff for further investigations. During the probe, Hemnath divulged that the actor came to the room at around 2.30 am on Wednesday after completing the shoot in EVP film city and she told him that she is going to take bath and asked him to wait outside the room. Hemnath had waited outside the room for a long time and as the room was locked and with no response, Hemnath had informed the hotel staff following which the hotel staff opened the door with a spare key and was shocked to see that she had committed suicide. 

However, some of Chitra's friends had alleged foul play in her death and claimed that she was murdered, as being a brave woman, she wouldn't have taken the extreme step of ending her life. Her friends, in multiple interviews, said that Chitra had chosen the wrong guy as her life partner and they demanded a fair probe and along with her friends, Chitra's father, who is a retired police officer, had filed a complaint with Nazrathpet police station urging a complete investigation into her death. However, the autopsy report was released on Thursday in which it has confirmed that the actor had committed suicide. 

Following the autopsy, her body was brought to her residence in Kotturpuram in Chennai and kept for the public to pay homage and notable actors and thousands of fans had paid their tributes following which her body was taken to Besant Nagar and it was cremated on Thursday evening. While police had determined that she had committed suicide based on the autopsy report, Chitra's family and relatives said she was physically tortured and beaten to death. They suspected the role of Hemnath in the incident and as per their demand, police assured a fair probe. 

The police have been questioning Hemnath for the third straight day on Friday and the probe has shockingly revealed that Chitra had committed suicide due to mental depression given by Hemnath and his mother. It came to light that Hemnath, under the influence of alcohol, had engaged in a fight with Chitra at the shooting spot, and they had a souring relationship. Chitra's mother Vijaya had asked her to leave Hemnath and it had further pushed her into a deep depression. The probe further revealed that the messages, photos, and audio recordings on her phone were erased. 

The police said that her phone has been dispatched to the cyber cell for further investigations. The Revenue Divisional Officer has been investigating the death as per the norm that Chitra had died within seven years of marriage and hours before her death, Chitra had shared her pictures on Instagram from a photoshoot in which she was seen dressed in a purple and green silk saree. Chitra rose to fame by acting in the role of Mullai Kathiravan in Pandian stores, which has become one of the most-watched soap-operas in Tamil Nadu and Chitra had gained the limelight as one of the rising talents in the Tamil industry and the reports say that she was said to have signed to play an important role in an upcoming Tamil film.
