The body of the deceased Tamil TV actor VJ Chitra has been brought to her home on Thursday evening after the autopsy as she nears her final journey by leaving her fans, family, and fraternities to a deep shock and grief. Her body would be kept in the police quarters in Kotturpuram in Chennai for public homage and thousands of her fans and actors have been paying tribute to the actor who committed suicide on Wednesday.

According to reports, the autopsy report had revealed that she had committed suicide and ruled out the grounds of murder. The postmortem report has come at a high time when some of the close friends of the actor had alleged foul play in her death and she wouldn't have committed suicide. Her friends and family were suspicious that she could have been murdered. They had demanded a fair probe into her death to deliver justice.

It was alleged that Chitra's fiance Hemnath could be behind the incident as he was staying with Chitra in the hotel room where he had committed suicide in the wee hours of Wednesday. They got engaged in August and they were staying at a private hotel in Nazrathpet, Chennai, and at around 3.30 am on Wednesday, the hotel had informed the police department about the suicide after which they rushed to the spot and sent it to autopsy to Kilpauk Medical College in Chennai.

As her fiance Hemnath was in the hotel room, the police took him for the investigation along with the hotel staff, and the police continued their investigation on Thursday for the second straight day. However, the actors who were close to the deceased said she wouldn't have committed suicide and they suspect foul play in her death. Chitra's untimely demise had sent shockwaves to her fans and cinema fraternities and while her fans are paying tribute, some of the artists who know her closely had put out several questions and suspicions over her death. Calling Chitra a brave woman, her friends say that she had chosen the wrong guy to be her life partner.

In multiple interviews on Wednesday after her death, her friends spell dubious on why Chitra has to ask her fiance Hemnath to wait outside of the room when they both were engaged and done a registered marriage in October and they claimed that they had warned Chitra that Hemanth is the wrong guy with some claiming that he had several relationships. Her friends doubt that her fiance would have been involved in the incident.

They say that being a psychiatrist, Chitra was against suicide and she was a brave woman that she would keep moving on regardless of issues. Her friends say that there is no chance that Chitra had decided to commit suicide and some of the reports had questioned the grounds of murder as there was a bloodstain in her cheek and her friends had demanded a fair probe to deliver justice to her death. Chitra's father, who is a retired police officer, had filed a complaint with the Nazrathpet Police station demanding a fair probe into her death and Chitra's family members had also alleged that they are suspicious of her death.
