Watch: Suriya's 'Jai Bhim' trailer is out...What does it promise?

The much-awaited trailer of Suriya's 'Jai Bhim' is out and garnered an immense reception as the movie is all set to release directly on Amazon Prime Video on November 2. The trailer was unveiled on Friday- October 22, days after the release of the teaser. The trailer, which runs for two minutes and thirty seconds, promises a real and potent battle of Suriya against injustice faced by a tribal woman.

The trailer has given an electrifying experience and Suriya's strong projection as a saviour of justice. Jai Bhim also revolves around police brutality and it is the first time in his career that Suriya is playing the role of advocate. On Friday, Amazon Prime took to social media and released the trailer. Captioning the trailer, the streaming giant wrote, "There's no fear when Suriya is here. The fight against inequality is now closer than you think (sic) Trailer out now." 

Suriya had shared the trailer on social media and wrote, "It's time to show the power of truth and faith!!."  The trailer has been unveiled exactly one week after the release of the movie's teaser. Pouring more reputation to his acting career, Suriya displays his wrath over the caste and audacity to fight it. Reacting to the teaser, Suriya said, " "I strongly believe true stories can bring true changes in the society...#JaiBhim will be an intense one and is close to my heart."

The trailer was released on Friday at around 6 pm and within one hour of its release, it has garnered nearly 4 lakh views, displaying a good reception among the people. Jai Bhim, which is a legal drama film, is bankrolled by Suriya and Jyothika under their own banner 2D Entertainment and it is directed by TJ Gnanavel. While Suriya acts in a lead role, Prakash Raj, Rajisha Vijayan, Bava Chelladurai, and Lijomol Jose have been acting in important roles.

The story is based on a real-life incident that happened in 1993 during which former High Court judge Justice Chandru fights for a couple from a tribal community when he was an advocate. Jai Bhim will also stream in Telugu and it will also be dubbed and premiered in Malayalam, Kannada, and Hindi. While Sean Roldan has composed the music for the movie, SR Kathir and Philomin Raj had done cinematography and editing respectively. 

Jai Bhim is part of the deal inked between Suriya's 2D Entertainment and Amazon Prime Video. As per the deal, 2D Entertainment will be releasing four movies in four months - September, October, November, and December on Amazon Prime. The movie 'Raame Aandalum Raavane Aandalum' was released in September and 'Udanpirappe' was released on October 14 while 'Jai Bhim' and 'Oh My doG' will be released on Amazon Prime in November and December respectively. The Tamil fans will be witnessing the release of two big movies during this Diwali - Suriya's 'Jai Bhim' and Rajinikanth's 'Annaatthe'.
