The recent blockbuster in Karnataka and Tamil Nadu 'Kanthara' has set a record for breaking box office records. The film was released and Kantara has now collected 211 crores as a worldwide mark before it enters the third weekend, which reveals that the film witnessed phenomenal success at the box office which is second after the 'KGF' series. After watching this sensational hit, Superstar Rajinikanth wrote on Twitter lauding the film. He said, "no one could have said this better in cinema."

Following the film's popularity and box office hit in Kannada, the producers announced that it would be dubbed in Telugu, Hindi, Tamil, and Malayalam. The movie was released on October 14 (Hindi) and October 15 (Tamil) of 2022. (Telugu & Tamil).

Produced by Vijay Kiragandur, Kantara is a second pan-Indian smash hit for Hombale films. Both critics and moviegoers praised the cast's performances, especially those of Shetty and Kishore, as well as the direction, writing, production design, proper showcasing of the Bhoota Kola, action sequences, and technical aspects. Kollywood Superstar says "The unknown is more than the known".

Taking to Twitter on Wednesday, the actor penned to express admiration for the film., he penned, "The unknown is more than the known" no one could have said this better in cinema than @hombalefilms #KantaraMovie you gave me goosebumps @shetty_rishab Rishab hats off to you as a writer, director, and actor," He adds, "Congrats to the whole cast and crew of this masterpiece in Indian cinema"

The actor Rishab Shetty responded to the lauding shower from the Kollywood icon, by writing, "Dear @rajinikanth sir  you are biggest Superstar in India and I have been your fan since childhood. Your appreciation is my Dream come true. You inspire me to do more local stories and inspire our audiences everywhere. Thank you sir"

This Rishab Shetty's action-thriller film was written, directed, and produced through Hombale Films. Shetty plays a Kambala champion who is at odds with Murali, an honorable DRFO officer, in the movie. Kantara, which was released on September 30, 2022, was well-received by critics and famous people. Arvind S. Kashyap handled the film's cinematography, B. Ajaneesh Loknath composed the score, and action director Vikram More choreographed the fight scenes. Dharani Gange Putra, a rookie, was in charge of the production design.
