Into the world of Ponniyin Selvan...The making video of Ponni Nadhi is out! Watch as it turns heads!

Days after the first single from Mani Ratnam's Ponniyin Selvan was released, the makers have on Thursday shared the making video of the song 'Ponni Nadhi', which took the viewers into the world of Ponniyin Selvan. The behind-the-scenes video has been turning heads and besides featuring the visuals of the making, it also had actor Karthi and the choreographer sharing their experience with the song. 

The making video runs for almost two minutes and Karthi said, "Ponni Nadhi Paakanume song is about a Vaanar Clan Prince who's entering Chola's territory for the first time in his life. It's about that journey. In this film, Semban is his horse. The only two who don't respect Vanthiyathevan (his role in the movie) is, Poonguzhali. This is an introduction to Vanthiyathevan's personality, it's an introduction to the kingdom. It's an introduction to how it was flourishing!". 

"It covers his entire journey...and on a horseback", Karthi added. Ponni Nadhi song has poured a promising reception to the movie team as in four days, the Tamil version of the song has garnered over 10 million views. Ponniyin Selvan, which is Kollywood's dream project, has been slated for a theatrical release on September 30. 

The making video of Ponni Nadhi was released at 5 pm on Thursday and by the time of writing this content, it has earned over 2.50 lakh views. On July 8, the makers launched Ponniyin Selvan's teaser and the movie will be getting released in Tamil, Malayalam, Telugu, Kannada, and Hindi. The magnum opus directed by Mani Ratnam is based on Kalki's eponymous Tamil novel that was serialized in the 1950s and has remained a sensational success ever since. An adventure ride set in the 10th century, 'Ponniyin Selvan tracks the factional power struggles within the Chola empire, with the enemies of the state acting as catalysts.

The iconic project is combinedly produced by Subaskaran under his banner Lyca Productions and Mani Ratnam under his banner Madras Talkies. The movie has successfully brought an ensemble cast together which would turn into a significant concoction of our favourite stars. Vikram, Jayam Ravi, Karthi, Aishwarya Rai, Trisha, Jayaram, Aishwarya Lekshmi, Vikram Prabhu, Ashwin, Sarathkumar, Parthiban, Prabhu, Prakash Raj, Rahman, Nizhalgal Ravi, Vijayakumar, Nassar, and Balaji Sakthivel will play important roles. Interestingly, AR Rahman composed the music while Kabilan and Venba Geethayan penned the lyrics for the songs and Jayamohan has written the dialogues.
