Sasikala's political game has been troubling the ADMK leaders amid facing whammies of intra-party furores, leadership crisis, and back-to-back raids from Tamil Nadu's anti-corruption agency.

Edappadi Palaniswami would be meeting the Governor in Raj Bhavan at around 11 am on Wednesday during which he would be holding talks with the head of the state as the opposition leader.

Her day out on Sunday has indeed poured more tension on Edappadi Palaniswami and his camp amid the fact that his leadership had eroded the party.

C Vijayabaskar is the fourth former ADMK Minister to have come under the scanner of the DVAC after the DMK has come to power.

Slamming Sasikala's memorial outreach, senior ADMK leader D Jayakumar said, "An Oscar award can be conferred to Sasikala for her performance, but never a place in the AIADMK." 

The party had faced major blows under the leadership of Edappadi Palaniswami during his term as the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu and as the joint coordinator of the party.

While the ruling DMK contested the polls with the alliance, ADMK's alliance was drifted much ahead of the polls with the strongest partner of the coalition, PMK, had decided to contest the polls independently.

The ADMK, which was ousted from the regime after a decade, has seen its citadel in the local bodies has been getting collapsed by the astounding victory of the DMK. 

Around 80,000 candidates had contested for 27,003 posts and the counting was done in 74 centres across the state.

In total, the elections were held in nine districts for 27,003 postings, including 2,901 village panchayat presidents' posts and 22,581 village panchayat ward councillors.
