Speaking at a party meeting in Chengalpet, former Chief Minister Edappadi Palaniswami had said that the DMK had confused people and taken advantage of people's ignorance.

Viswanathan was one of the ADMK leaders who made it to the shores of victory amid the anti-incumbency wave against the ADMK regime led by Edappadi Palaniswami. 

The Nilgiris police have now begun to investigate the death of 29-year-old Dinesh Kumar, who was the computer operator at the Kodanad estate.

The commission has informed the apex court on Thursday -September 16 that it will be able to submit a report of probe into Jayalalithaa's death within a month. 

The authorities of DVAC had conducted searches at 28 places that are linked to Veeramani, who served as the Tamil Nadu Minister for Commercial Taxes in the previous Edappadi Palaniswami regime.

The DVAC sleuths had begun searches in 28 properties in Chennai and other places linked to Veeramani. The searches had come a day after the DVAC had filed a case against the former minister. 

PMK's decision was of no surprise and that it has to establish a strong presence in the local bodies through completing sweeping the Vanniyar vote bank. 

While speaking to the reporters, Palanikumar has said that the election code of conduct has come into immediate effect in these districts.

The judicial bodies had given a go-ahead for the Tamil Nadu police to investigate the case and with the green signal, the state enforcement agency has intensified the probe and trace out the witnesses.

Senior ADMK leader and former Tamil Nadu Minister, D Jayakumar has watched the movie in the theatres and after watching it, he has demanded that certain scenes must be deleted.
