Dengue would show similar symptoms of fever like COVID-19 which would lead to major confusion and challenges in identifying and detecting the exposure at an early stage. 

According to the Tamil Nadu's Health Department, the state has added over 80,000 cases in June month as the state's tally stood at 22,333 on May 31st and now, the tally stands at 1,02,721 cases. 

According to the reports, 'Covaxin' has become the first candidate developed in India that has been consented by the Drug Controller General of India. 

Along with the biggest spike, the state has also reported more than 2,300 cases outside Chennai for the first time since the outbreak.

KP Anbalagan is the first minister in Chief Minister Edappadi Palaniswami's cabinet to test positive for the virus and he was confirmed to have contracted to the virus on June 30.

The survey was taken by 3,136 respondents of which 46.6% belong to Chennai, 16.9% from the rest of districts from Tamil Nadu, and 36.5% from the Indian states. 

On June 26, the state's death toll stood at 957 and in the span of five days, the state has added 307 deaths at an average of 60 deaths per day.

The areas that are demarcated as containment zones across the state have been barred from opening the places of worship.

On Monday, Tamil Nadu Chief Minister has announced that the lockdown has been extended in the state from July 1st to July 31st owing to the rapid spread of the COVID-19 pandemic.
