The evacuees will be placed under quarantine for at least 14 days at a medical facility that has been installed in the airforce base following which they will be allowed to travel to their respective states.

The Directorate of Public Health and Preventive Medicine said that 96,729 passengers who arrived in Chennai, Madurai, Trichy, and Coimbatore airports have gone through the screening so far.
