Iconic thespian Mammootty has rich experience working in Tamil cinema and a remarkable fanbase. The 71-year-old versatile actor's last Tamil movie was 'Peranbu', helmed by Ram in 2019.

The upcoming period drama 'Kaathal: The Core' will be directed by Jeo Baby, who rose to fame through 'The Great Indian Kitchen'.

Incidentally, he has tested positive days after his father and veteran actor Mammootty has contracted the viral infection.
