Ranjith further alleged that the police are forcing the victims to accept that they did the crime, the allegation which has been raised by several Dalit activists. 

Ranjith screened for celebrities in Mumbai and the forum was filled with icons of Bollywood town including Anurag Kashyap and Nandita Das.

Ranjith has planned to direct a magnum opus movie, that is tentatively named 'German', with the national award-winning actor.

Bommai Nayagi is bankrolled by filmmaker Pa Ranjith under his banner Neelam Productions. It is written and directed by Shan, who is making his directorial debut through this movie. 

The film will directly be streaming on SonyLive, an OTT platform from August 5. 

Jai Bhim has been slated for a release on November 2, two days ahead of Diwali, and it will be premiered directly on the Amazon Prime Video.
