Rahman revealed that he had advised Kamal Haasan to try his luck in Hollywood 20 years ago, but he got trapped in the Indian film industry.

The film grossed over ₹ 100 crores at the worldwide box office and became a critical and commercial success.

Manobala had passed away on Wednesday at his residence at the age of 69 due to liver related ailments. Being a renowned artist with rich cinematic career, his sudden demise has shocked the fans and fraternities.

The film has Megha Akash as the female lead and also features director Mohan Raja in a cameo role. 

The versatile artist Manobala, who is known for his acting and directorials, has passed away on Wednesday - May 3 in Chennai at the age of 69 due to liver ailment.
