Her demise has become the third NEET-related suicide recorded by the Ariyalur district, after the death of Vignesh in 2020, and Anitha in 2017, who was the first medical aspirant to commit suicide due to NEET.

According to the state health department, Tamil Nadu has reported 1,639 fresh Covid-19 cases on Saturday- September 11, with 1,517 new discharges, and 27 deaths.
