Tamilisai Soundararajan is in the midst of tensions...Will she be transferred to another state?

Telangana Governor Tamilisai Soundararajan has been in the midst of tensions as the sequel of the recent events that suggest the growing dispute between her and the state government. She has also been serving as the Lieutenant Governor of Puducherry, which neither gave her a calm tenure. As the only female Governor in India to act as the constitutional head of both the states, she has been under fire from the opposition parties.

The events had brought the question that whether Tamilisai Soundararajan will be transferred to any other state, particularly to the BJP ruling state. She took over as the second Governor of Telangana on September 8, 2019, after demitting her office as the Tamil Nadu BJP President.  However, as years passed by, her relationship with the Telangana state government and Chief Minister Chandrasekar Rao had gone into fragile as there were events of the war of words between the duo that escalated further.

Recently, her address as the Governor of Telangana was ignored by the Telangana Assembly, which had disappointed her. As Chandrasekar Rao was working against the Central ruling BJP, the political ties between him and the Governor had also eroded and they had observed a soaring relationship. Further, Tamilisai was also ignored by the state government in a grand inauguration event of a temple in Telangana. Amid the growing tensions, she had recently travelled to Delhi and met with Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah.

She had spoken about the issues she has been facing with the Telangana government and expressed her displeasure over the way she was being treated in Hyderabad. Following her statement, Delhi had begun the process of replacing her. As Telangana is going for the assembly polls next year, the Centre is working out to find a replacement for Tamilisai Soundarajan and according to our sources, she will be transferred to any BJP ruling state and it has also been reported that she can be transferred to Kerala while Kerala's Governor Arif Mohammed Khan would replace her in Telangana.

Several reports say that she will be appointed as the Lieutenant Governor of Puducherry as her full-time role. However, she has been facing a fire in the Union Territory as the opposition parties are staging a protest against her. In Telangana, she was accused of acting like a BJP leader and she is facing a similar allegation in Puducherry. Several opposition parties had recently demanded that she should be removed as Lieutenant Governor as she is being political.

Tamilisai has replaced Kiran Bedi in Puducherry and amid such developments of furore, she had reached New Delhi on Sunday. Though it has been reported as a trip to attend a wedding in Delhi, several reports have asserted that Tamilisai Soundararajan would possibly leave the city with a takeaway that a change will happen soon and that she will be transferred to a new state.
