Fans are currently abuzz with feverish excitement, as the countdown commences for the grand unveiling of the much-anticipated project, 'STR 48'. This cinematic gem serves as a momentous milestone, marking the first-ever collaboration between the legendary Kamal Haasan and the immensely talented Simbu. Director Desingh Periyasamy, whose previous venture, 'Kannum Kannum Kollaiyadithaal', to helm the film.

The film is touted to be a riveting action extravaganza with a massive budget of over Rs 100 crore, setting a new benchmark for Simbu’s career. Simbu, who impressed everyone with his remarkable body makeover for his last film has been training extensively in London and Thailand to get ready for his role in ‘STR 48’.

Whispers in the film industry reveal that the actor is set to embrace a double identity in the magnificent period film, portraying not just one, but two contrasting roles.  Simbu takes on the mantle of a majestic and noble protagonist, while simultaneously immersing himself in the skin of a wicked and unabashed antagonist, and he to portray a never-before-seen avatar that will leave audiences in awe.

The makers of ‘STR 48’ have kept the details of the cast and crew under wraps, but it is speculated that Anirudh Ravichander will be composing the music for the film, marking his first collaboration with Simbu. The film is also said to have three leading ladies, and some of the names that are being considered are Rashmika Mandanna, Pooja Hegde and Disha Patani. All three are pan-Indian actresses who have a huge fan following across the country.

‘STR 48’ is expected to go on floors in the next few months and will be shot in various exotic locations. The film will be a visual spectacle with stunning action sequences and breathtaking cinematography. The film is also a milestone for Kamal Haasan, as it is his 56th film as a producer under his banner Raaj Kamal Films International. The actor-filmmaker, who is currently busy with ‘Indian 2’ and KH233’ of Shankar and H.Vinoth respectively.
