Vetrimaaran's Viduthalai to lock horns with this biggie! Here're the release date deets from the makers...

This exciting news has generated buzz among film enthusiasts, who are eager to see what Vetrimaaran has in store. With his unique style of storytelling that blends gritty realism with raw emotions and intense drama, Viduthalai is nearing to theatres on March 31st 2023, as confirmed by the film's home banner.

Taking to Twitter the film's home banner RS Infotainment shared the release date by writing, "The Freedom struggle is about get underway! Director #VetriMaaran 's #ViduthalaiPart1 worldwide release on March 31st. #ViduthalaiPart1FromMarch31". The release of another highly anticipated film, Pathu Thala, starring Simbu, is just one day before Viduthalai, making it a cinematic showdown.

Based on the short story 'Thunaivan' by Jeyamohan, the film's unique style of storytelling will blend gritty realism with raw emotions and intense drama, following in the footsteps of Vetrimaaran's previous films. The movie follows the journey of Perumaal Vaathiyaar, played by Vijay Sethupathi, who is a mysterious yet strong and powerful figure in the film. Actor Soori plays a constable, Gautham Menon, and Rajiv Menon appears as a serious officer.

Produced by RS Infotainment and Elred Kumar, this action-packed film is sure to be a hit, featuring an impressive cast including Vijay Sethupathi, Soori, Gautham Menon, Rajiv Menon, Bhavani Sri, Chetan, Ilavarasu, Munnar Ramesh, and Saravana Subbiah.  

The cinematography, done by R.Velraj, reportedly utilized iPhone technology, while the editing was handled by R. Ramar. Jacki designed the art, and the stunts were choreographed by Peter Hein and Stun Siva. Notably, this will be the first time that Ilayaraja collaborates with Vetrimaaran as a director, making the project even more exciting.

Meanwhile, Simbu's Pathu Thala to be released on March 30th, a day before the debut of Viduthalai, marking a remarkable clash to witness. The neo-noir gangster film directed by Obeli N Krishna. The film stars Silambarasan, Gautham Karthik, Gautham Vasudev Menon, Priya Bhavani Shankar, Anu Sithara, Teejay Arunasalam, Kalaiyarasan and Redin Kingsley.The film’s music is composed by A. R. Rahman who has collaborated with Silambarasan for the fifth time.
