Vijay Sethupathi will have a full-fledged role in the second part, while Soori’s character will have a lesser screen time.

They serve as an inspiration for fellow comedians, encouraging them to explore their own potential and venture into new genres and characters.

The film marks Nivin Pauly’s third outing in Tamil after ‘Neram’ and ‘Richie’. Anjali plays his love interest, while Soori provides comic relief. 

He is currently acting in ‘Kottukkaali’, directed by Vinodraj of ‘Koozhangal’ fame and produced by actor Sivakarthikeyan.

The film has music by Ilaiyaraaja and cinematography by Velraj. Viduthalai Part 2 is expected to be a grand spectacle with a whopping budget.

The film is also a showcase for Soori, who delivers a career-best performance as Kumaresan, a naive and innocent man who transforms as he faces the harsh realities of life.

The actor said that he felt sad that the tribal people were not allowed inside the theatre, which he said theatre was found to treat all equally. 

After witnessing the awe-inspiring first 10 minutes of a movie shot in a single, uninterrupted take, film buffs were left amazed.

Soori revealed that he was offered many comedy roles while shooting for Viduthalai Part 1, but he turned them down as he wanted to focus on his performance.
