Into the world of AGR! Makers of Simbu starrer Pathu Thala introduce the characters of the gangster drama...

Pathu Thala, the Simbu's next neo-noir action thriller film directed by Obeli N. Krishna, is all set to release on March 30, 2023. The film is an adaptation of the 2017 Kannada film Mufti, which was a blockbuster hit. The film revolves around an undercover cop who infiltrates a crime world ruled by a don and faces a dilemma of choosing between his duty and his conscience.

As a new development, the makers Studio Green has been progressively debuting the film's characters through the release of striking character posters by taking us to Twitter on Tuesday. The posters endorse the film's cast by name and by role. According to the posters Santhosh Pratap plays the role of Arunmozhi, Soundar plays the role of Inban, Sendrayan plays the role of Poongundran and Harsitha plays the role of Aradhana

The film features Silambarasan TR as AG Raavanan (AGR), the charismatic and ruthless crime lord, and Gautham Karthik as Guna, the brave and honest cop. The film also marks the acting collaboration debut of Gautham Vasudev Menon as an actor with Simbu. He plays Naanjilaar Gunasekaran, a political rival of AGR. The film also has a cameo appearance by Sayyeshaa Saigal as a bar dancer for the item song "Raawadi".

Pathu Thala also boasts of an ensemble cast featuring Priya Bhavani Shankar, Anu Sithara, Teejay Arunasalam, Kalaiyarasan and Redin Kingsley. The film’s music is composed by none other than A.R. Rahman. The film has four songs, out of which three have been released so far and have received rave reviews from the fans and critics alike. The fourth song, "Osarattum", was released yesterday and became an instant hit on social media platforms.

Pathu Thala is produced by Studio Green and Pen Studios and is expected to be a visual treat for the audience with its stylish cinematography by Farook J. Basha and crisp editing by Praveen K.L.
