The audio clip has been going viral as it has come a day after the mass firing at the ADMK as Palaniswami and Panneerselvam had fired 17 members including a former ADMK minister.

Appavu has filed a graft case against Velumani in connection with the purchase of Rs 23.7 lakh street lights in village panchayats.

The ADMK leadership has on Monday expelled 16 party leaders including a former minister and a former MP for speaking with Sasikala and supporting her political comeback.

Through expelling 16 leaders, the ADMK leaders had admitted that Sasikala had spoken with the party members.

Besides asserting that Sasikala will never be allowed to enter the party, Shanmugam has gone to the next level and lodged a police complaint against her.

While the current senior leaders of the party have strongly opposed her, she has been reaching out to the party cadres to know their minds and to earn their support after comeback.

As Palaniswami has recently been elected as the Leader of Opposition in the Tamil Nadu assembly, the party is all set to elect the deputy leader of the opposition. 

While Palaniswami has been becoming the power-centric in the party, controversial posters in Tamil Nadu had blamed Palaniswami for the party's defeat in the recently-held state assembly polls.

Panneerselvam's backing has come a day after Chief Minister MK Stalin has demanded Prime Minister Narendra Modi to abolish the entrance exam. 

Palaniswami said, "Sasikala is not a member of ADMK and doesn't exercise any links with the party. ADMK's deputy coordinator KP Munusamy and I had made it very clear."
