Refusing to endorse Edappadi Palaniswami as the CM candidate, the BJP leaders had been pressing that Palaniswami is the CM candidate for ADMK and not for the alliance.

During the meeting, the party has passed the resolution of strongly pressing that Edappadi Palaniswami will be the Chief Ministerial candidate of the party.

The members of both the bodies are advised to attend the meeting, which would be the last high-level meeting of the party in its current rule. 

Her release would possibly change the state of the current ADMK and it had stirred various speculations on how the party would respond to her comeback. 

Both leaders are strongly hoping to take over the rule and signaling the heated contest, they are now fighting each other with the 'debate' challenge.

Arulanatham is the Pollachi town secretary of the ADMK student wing, which had drawn major flak towards the ruling party from the opposition.
