Earlier this week, actor Arjun Sarja had announced that he had tested positive for the pandemic and asserted that he is doing well. 

India has reported 12 new cases of Omicron on Wednesday alone with four cases each in Maharashtra and Kerala, two in Telangana, and one each in West Bengal and Tamil Nadu. 

Though Tamil Nadu hasn't reported the Omicron cases, the government is tightening up the containment measures as the variant has been making its move to several states. 

A Chennai court had issued summon to Vijay Sethupathi in connection to the complaint. The court had then posted the matter for hearing on January 2, 2022. 

"I'm doing well. Please stay safe everyone and don't forget about your masks just yet", the actor added. 

Though the ADMK had lost its possession over the residence, the recent events had hinted that the party is mulling to acquire the residence. 

The Prime Minister took to social media and wrote, "A very happy birthday to Rajinikanth Ji. May he keep inspiring people with his creativity and phenomenal acting."

After a brief hospitalization, he had returned home on Sunday and said that he is recovering from the infection.

Simbu was last seen in Maanaadu, which hit the screens on November 25 and garnered massive reception across and beyond the borders. 

In its directive on November 25, the court has ordered the government to hand over the keys of the residence to Deepa and Deepak within three weeks.
