The state is going to end the first week of the fifth phase of the lockdown by adding at least 6,500 cases to its total count.

By calling Chennai as the healthcare capital of Tamil Nadu, Kamal Haasan reiterated that the city shouldn't become the Corona capital of the state.

Chennai currently has 15 active zones with more cases in Royapuram ( Zone 5 -3388 cases) followed by Tondiarpet (Zone 4 - 2261 cases), and Teynampet (Zone 9 - 2136).

The state must roll out new testing protocols to deal with new symptoms like respiratory distress, and the disorder of losing the sense of taste or smell.
