Several leaders, including Tamil Nadu Governor RN Ravi and ADMK's O Panneerselvam, have extended their wishes to the Chief Minister for a speedy recovery.
Taking to social media, the Chief Minister wrote, "I have a fatigue today. After testing, it was confirmed that I have contracted Covid-19 and I have isolated."

Signifying the recent spike of covid cases, Vijayakanth said the Tamil Nadu government should take serious action to control the spread of corona and create awareness among the people about the prevention of coronavirus.
On Sunday, Tamil Nadu recorded 1,472 cases and of these, around 1,100 cases were reported from these districts while no Covid deaths were recorded on Sunday.
