In the wake of soaring cases, Puducherry has declared a holiday for the schools while Tamil Nadu has affirmed that there is no need to panic. 

The veteran actor had previously contracted Covid-19 in July 2020 along with his family members including his son Abhishek Bachchan.

The sources reported that the Award Winning director is currently admitted to Apollo hospital in Chennai after he tested positive for Covid-19 and has been getting reliable treatment for his health.

Citing that the investigations are completed, the hospital affirmed that MK Stalin is recovering well and is in good health.

While the Prime Minister has reached MK Stalin over the phone, Tamil Nadu BJP President Annamalai has called on Stalin's son Udhayanidhi in Chennai.

The hospital said, "Honourable Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, Thiru MK Stalin has been admitted at Kauvery Hospital, Alwarpet, Chennai for investigations and observation for Covid-related symptoms."

Several leaders, including Tamil Nadu Governor RN Ravi and ADMK's O Panneerselvam, have extended their wishes to the Chief Minister for a speedy recovery.  

Taking to social media, the Chief Minister wrote, "I have a fatigue today. After testing, it was confirmed that I have contracted Covid-19 and I have isolated."

Both the leaders have tested positive at a high time when Tamil Nadu has been witnessing a huge rise in daily Covid cases, triggering the possibilities of yet another wave.
