Fans of the family drama still flock to theatres for a fifth straight weekend, ensuring the film's standing as Vijay's highest-grossing effort.

The film’s Telugu version also clashed against biggies Nandamuri Balakrishna’s Veera Simha Reddy and Chiranjeevi’s Waltair Veerayya.

And pictures and videos of Varisu team Dil Raju, S. Thaman, Shaam goes viral on social media. In the video, the composer of the film also seen tearing up in the heat of the moment.

The movie's story is co-written by Ahishor Solomon along with Vamshi Paidipally,  Karthik Palani handled the camera while KL Praveen handled the edits.

Interestingly, the film featured Allu Arha, the daughter of actor Allu Arjun plays the pivotal role, which marks her debut in the film.

It's worth noting that the venture will have to contend with Ajith's Thunivu, which is also being released in Telugu under the name Thegimpu.
