The meeting had the presence of the representations of several parties while the BJP and ADMK had boycotted the meeting. 

The announcement about his trip was made on Friday - February 4, a day ahead of the all-party meeting that has been convened by Chief Minister MK Stalin.

Chandru said that the decision from the Governor has disregarded the resolution of 230 MLAs who had supported the Bill, while four BJP MLAs had voted against it.

Annoyed by his action that has been alleged to be unconstitutional, the DMK leaders have been slamming the Governor for sending back the Bill. 

In the Lok Sabha, the MPs of the DMK alliance had on Thursday urged the Union government to withdraw the Governor from his post for violating his constitutional powers. 

Chief Minister MK Stalin has earlier said that NEET affected the dreams and aspirations of the rural and poor students in pursuing medical courses. 

Interestingly, his student has also attended counselling along with him. Sivaprakasam's student Kumar is ranked 5th and has chosen Chennai Medical College to pursue his medical studies.

MK Stalin has called for an all-party meet on January 8 to discuss the next course of action towards scrapping the national exam.

Repealing the NEET was one of the first-in-line drives initiated by the MK Stalin administration after coming to power and he has now pressed on the head of state to make the next move.
