The latest speculative sources claims that  Rajinikanth's Jailer would face off against Indian 2, which had already sparked excitement following the viewing of Thunivu and Varisu at the beginning of 2023.

Bankrolled by Sun Pictures "Jailer" also has music composed by Anirudh who also handles the scores for Indian 2.

The plot of Jailer involves an inmate gang trying to free their leader from prison, only to have the jailer put on quite the show in order to prevent their escape.

Reportedly, the makers also have been in talks with a reputable Bollywood actor about making a cameo appearance in the film.

Reports state that while in Hyderabad filming Jailer, Rajinikanth met with Chandrababu Naidu at the latter's home in Jubilee Hills.

Sun Pictures backing the flick, and Anirudh will be providing the music score and R Nirmal will take care of editing. 

For the past few days, there have been swirling speculations over the movie's release. It has been strongly suggested that Jailer would be released in April 2023.

As fans were excitedly counting on the update, Sun Pictures, which is bankrolling the movie, has released a poster that swiftly turned heads. 

Rajinikanth is said to be playing the titular role of a jailer. Reports are rife that the film also features Aishwarya Rai and Shiva Rajkumar.

What has attracted swift attention is an update from the Superstar himself who revealed the date of when the movie shooting will commence.
