26-year-old Indian weightlifter Mirabai Chanu has opened the country's medal account after winning the Silver medal in the women's 49kg weightlifting competition on Saturday

Chanu has arrived in India at a time when she has got a chance to win the Gold Medal as Chinese athlete Hou Zhihui would be put under a doping test.

Chanu has also become the second Indian weightlifter to win an Olympic medal after Karnam Malleswari, who won the Bronze medal in the 2000 Sydney Olympics.
