On Friday, Suriya penned a heart-touching statement in which he thanked his fans and well-wishers, besides commending the artists who won the National Awards.
"Our happiness is doubled at this National recognition for Soorarai Pottru as it is a testimony of Sudha Kongara's many years of hard work & creative vision of Captain Gopinath's story", the actor wrote.

The judge adjourned the hearing on the petition filed by Surya and Gnanavel to July 21 and ordered that no strict action should be taken in the case till then.
