Days after the declaration of the election results, the members of Makkal Needhi Maiam had braced up the bitter scenes as the party's second line leadership have more closely vanished. 

Tamil Nadu BJP Unit had also held protests in Chennai on Wednesday to condemn the Bengal violence. State BJP President L Murugan led the protests.

As Stalin is preparing for swearing-in as the next Chief Minister, the officials at Raj Bhavan have also been making arrangements to host the swearing-in ceremony on May 7.

On Monday, Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Edappadi Palaniswami has resigned from his post after conceding the defeat and MK Stalin will be swearing-in as the next Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu on May 7. 

The DMK-led alliance has attained a remarkable victory in the Tamil Nadu assembly polls and Stalin is all set to become the Chief Minister for the first time.
