MK Stalin led-DMK alliance is all set to form the new government after a decade with a sound majority in the assembly.

Rahul Gandhi said, "Congratulations to Shri MK Stalin for the victory. People of Tamil Nadu have voted for change and we will, under your leadership, prove to be a confident step in that direction. Best wishes."

Prime Minister Narendra Modi had also wished MK Stalin and called to work together for enhancing national progress, fulfilling regional aspirations, and defeating the COVID-19 pandemic.

While Udhayanidhi Stalin will become an MLA for the first time, his father MK Stalin will become the Tamil Nadu Chief Minister for the first time. 

The national leaders have begun to wish Stalin in the backdrop of the current trend which suggests that Stalin would become the next Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu. 

From DMK President MK Stalin to his son Udhayanidhi Stalin, the candidates of the DMK alliance in Chennai are holding a lead in their respective constituencies.  

ADMK has been doing good in the Kongu belt (Western region), where it holds the stronghold while DMK is doing better in Northern Tamil Nadu including Chennai.

The counting has been unfolding major shock waves for the ADMK as the seven senior ministers are in the fashion of conceding a defeat.

Kamal's Makkal Needhi Maiam has got one lead while Dhinakaran's AMMK, and Seeman's Naam Tamilar Katchi are yet to open their accounts.

The DMK alliance has crossed the majority mark of 118 in lead and if the current trends continue, we can expect that Stalin will swear in as the next Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu.
