Udhayanidhi Stalin has gained a national spotlight as he was the talking point for several BJP leaders including Amit Shah and Rajnath Singh in the poll-bound Rajasthan. 

Udhayanidhi Stalin's single remark has sparked fury from the BJP leaders that they have to speak about him to woo voters in the states where he is an outsider. 

The film features Udhayanidhi Stalin and Vadivelu as the father-son duo, Fahadh Faasil as the antagonist, and Keerthy Suresh as the female lead.

The song has been trending on social media platforms, with fans appreciating the soulful lyrics by Yugabharathi and the chemistry between the lead pair.

He is the antagonist of the film, who clashes with Maamannan (Vadivelu), a lower-caste MLA who fights for justice and equality.

Fahadh Faasil plays the antagonist Rathnavelu, a district secretary in the same party as Maamannan, who belongs to the dominant community and has a brash and aggressive attitude.

‘Maamannan’ revolves around the relationship between a father and son who are at loggerheads over the caste hierarchy and social injustice in society.

The director has been hailed as one of the most promising voices in Tamil cinema for his realistic and hard-hitting depiction of social issues.

The film also boasts of a stellar technical crew, led by Oscar-winning composer A.R. Rahman, who has collaborated with Mari Selvaraj for the first time.

He followed it up with films like ‘Aadhavan’, ‘Manmadan Ambu’  and ‘7aum Arivu’, collaborating with some of the biggest names in the industry, where he made his first surprising cameo at the end of the film Aadhavan.
