Based on the footage, the jewellery owner has lodged a complaint against the functionary and the footage has been going viral on social media. 

He has been getting treated at a private hospital in T Nagar in the city and he will remain in the hospital for a few days.

After being awarded a shocking six-month prison sentence in a cheque bounce case, popular Kollywood director Lingusamy has decided to appeal against the court's verdict.
