The statement was signed by the leaders of the allied parties and they alleged that the Governor has made a habit of stirring up controversy from the day he took office.

The high-level meeting has come when there have been speculations that the probe has been transferred to the NIA, given that the incident drew a possible terror attack.

Annamalai has said the attack has exhibited the complete failure of the state government and the state police department's surveillance system.
