Popular actress Trisha has aired a surprise announcement about her first web series that the shooting has been wrapped and it will be getting released soon.

Ponniyin Selvan has two parts and the first part was released on September 30, opening to a trendsetting gross at the global box office by breaching the Rs 500-crore mark.

The first part of the film, which was released in theatres on September 30, made a whopping box office collection and recently touched 500 crores worldwide.

With a budget of 500 crores in making two parts of this epic periodic drama, the second part of 'Ponniyin Selvan' is expected to hit the big screens in the early half of 2023.

The movie has an ensemble cast of Vikram, Jayam Ravi, Karthi, Trisha, and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan played important roles.

Notably, Selvaraghavan's Naane Varuven, starring Dhanush, got released on September 29, a day ahead of the release of Ponniyin Selvan.

Ponniyin Selvan comes with two parts and the first part has got released on September 30 and it was huge blockbuster with a positive word of mouth. 

He took to social media and shared the news after which he was flooded with wishes from the fans for a speedy recovery. 

On Wednesday - October 19, Lyca Productions, which bankrolled Ponniyin Selvan, shared that the movie has grossed over Rs 450 crores worldwide.
