Cuddalore was recently upgraded from municipality to municipal corporation and it was in the state that whoever wins the race will become the first Mayor of Cuddalore. 

Several speculations were rife around the meeting with a claim that Chidambaram met Stalin on a courtesy call to exchange greetings after the victory in the urban local body polls. 

Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin had spoken to three students of Tamil Nadu who are in Ukraine and inquired about the condition there. 

In what has been termed as a historical triumph, the victory has thrown more weight and responsibility for MK Stalin as he prepares to reign the urban local bodies. 

The development comes when the ADMK has been bracing up a debacle in the local body polls after the ruling DMK has secured a comfortable sweep across the state. 

The wave of support for MK Stalin is clearly visible across Tamil Nadu that no opposition party has come close to the DMK in the majority of seats. 

The opposition party is witnessing yet another magnificent victory of the DMK, which is all set to reign the local bodies including the ADMK's stronghold.

The Chief Minister will be accompanied by the ministers of the concerned departments and authorities and the arrangements for the tour are underway in a full swing. 

In what has become a crucial resumption, the Tamil Nadu government has allowed the fullest resumption of the theatres.

The top leaders are playing a blame game around the national exam, which has amplified a locking-horn battle between DMK and ADMK.
