While the movie team had completed the initial schedules of shooting in various places including Georgia and Delhi, the team is currently camped in Chennai to complete the remaining schedules.

After Beast, Vijay will be joining hands with Tollywood director Vamsi Paidipally for the first time for what has been tentatively named Thalapathy 66.

The movie has been inching closer to wrap up the shooting, giving a prediction that it may clash with Ajith's 'Valimai' during Pongal 2022. 

The rural local body polls are the latest evidence of how the actor's face worked out well in some areas with his outfit opening its account by winning 50 seats.

Vijay has joined hands with Telugu director Vamsi Paidipally, who helms Thalapathy 66, which will be bankrolled by famous Tollywood producer Dil Raju.

If Ajith and Vijay clash with each other on Pongal 2022, it will be the 13th such clash between them and the first in seven years. 

However, the judicial bench had deferred the hearing to September 27 as Vijay's counsel hadn't appeared for the hearing. 

It's Chandrasekar's 71st movie as a director and as it has been getting ready for a release, the press meet for the movie was held in Chennai on Thursday. 

In July, the Madras High Court had come down hard on the actor for evading the tax and directed him to pay the tax, along with the fine amount of Rs 1 lakh.
